Wear Kailee

Kailee Elaine Wear is charged with possession of a controlled substance more than 4 grams but less than 400 grams after her arrest Wednesday by Lamar County Sheriff’s detectives.

A Deport woman facing a second-degree felony count of drug possession has been released from jail on a $10,000 bond.

Kailee Elaine Wear is charged with possession of a controlled substance more than 4 grams but less than 400 grams after her arrest Wednesday by Lamar County Sheriff’s detectives.

A release from Sheriff Scott Cass states the detectives stopped a vehicle south of Deport during an ongoing narcotics investigation. During the stop, the detectives found more than 200 grams of suspected tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, with an estimated street value of $16,000.

“The good investigative work by detectives stopped the sale and spread of these narcotics from getting to our streets and our communities,” Cass said.
