Christopher Dewayne Morgan, 58, of Hugo, passed away on June 2, 2019. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 7, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Maxey Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Chisum High School. Bishop Connice Mayes will serve as Eulogist. Interment will follow to Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home. 

Chris was born to Joann Mosley on Oct. 4, 1960. He loved to laugh, joke around, have fun and truly enjoy life. He was  a friend to everyone with whom he came in contact. He could infuse humor into any situation and looked forward to living a full life.

Chris was a 1978 graduate of West Lamar High School. Chris spent a brief moment in the military and eventually went on to pursue his passion of being a truck driver, later becoming an independent driver.

Left to cherish, treasure and uphold a legacy of precious memories are, mother, Joann Booker; children, Jeremy Morgan, Shaniqua Morgan and Johnathan Morgan; special friend, Diane; brothers, Ronald Morgan, Marcus Morgan, Ricky (Saturah) Morgan and Jimmy Lewis (Ruby) Morgan; sisters, Deborah (Larry) Washington, Tracie (Tracy) McCarthy, Barbara (Richard) Washington, Sandra Bryant, Wanda (Lonnie) Moore, Ruby (Stanley) Roberts and Jeanette Council; grandchildren, Jer’Monei Morgan, Jeremy Morgan Jr. and Amare Davis; uncles, Billy Mosley, Freddie Mosley and James Mosley; aunts, Norma Hicks, Lois Gaines, Wanda Latimore, Janice Johnson and Nora Bills; also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
