Paris Fire Department’s lip sync challenge video has been seen on national news.

On Paris Fire Department’s Facebook page,, the video has garnered about 1 million views, and on YouTube, the video has about 260,000 views.

“We are very proud of the video,” Cade Oats, Paris Fire Department driver engineer, said, “but would have never thought that it would have so many views on social media. I’m glad that we all could be a part of something that has been positive and fun for so many people.”

The video has been featured on various news outlets such as Star-Telegram based out of Fort Worth and New York City’s Huffington Post.

The lip sync video peers into the various firefighters’ personalities with each song in dream sequences. Challenged by the Paris Police Departent, Oats said he asked other firefighters in the department to let him know who wanted to help with the challenge.

He said the turnout was pleasing.

“We had 17 guys who said, ‘if possible, we want to do it,’” Oats said.

Paris Fire Department passed the challenge to Greenville Fire Department, and in honor of fallen officer Darrin Reed, Show Low, Arizona Police Department.

Paris Fire Captain Dale Reed’s brother, Darrin Reed was killed in the line of duty in November 2016 when answering a disturbance call.
