How can we allow this to happen?

Roger Haley is right on target with what should concern all of us. We have more news to report and more issues to deal with than to have to watch young school children chanting and singing praises to the anointed one. Children should not have to participate in such activity. Parents of the children subjected to this activity should be outraged.
The future of the United States Of America is far more important than the popularity of our president. Americans should be concerned with the rhetoric of the liberal media and the Democratic Party. This is very disturbing to me, and I urge each responsible person to get involved in taking our country back starting in November 2010. This administration is on a mission to destroy our economy, our health care system and control our lives in general.
How can we as free Americans allow this to happen? It is almost certain that the health care legislation will pass in some form and will prove to be disaster. Many accuse me of fear mongering and scare tactics, but I will continue to offer my comments.
Although the latest polls indicate that 63 percent of Americans oppose the health care plan, it is apparent that it will be passed anyway. Gun control is the next issue. This administration is determined to disarm the American citizen. I am not willing for this to happen, and will continue my opposition.
I recently visited with a woman who is native to England and is very well acquainted to their health care system. She is now a resident of the United States but still has many friends abroad that are subject to nationalized health care. She told me about her friend that still lives in England and has breast cancer. The government decided she would not have surgery and she be put on a waiting list to receive chemotherapy and that would not be possible for approximately 12 months. It is apparent that the government system just signed the death certificate for this cancer victim. Is that what we want in the USA?
I am very disturbed that The Paris News is so reluctant to be involved in national events and report on the important issues that affect our daily lives. These articles never make the front page. I would think that the fact that the president and first lady traveled to Denmark in an attempt to secure the Olympics for the City of Chicago would be newsworthy, especially since they traveled separately on two huge planes, costing the taxpayers no telling how much.
Are the Olympic Games more important that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? Apparently so, as the field general in Afghanistan has requested more troops in hopes of winning this war and bringing it to closure. To date he has received no response from Obama. Each passing day brings more casualties and the war seems to be escalating daily. The troop surge worked in Iraq and it would work in Afghanistan.
I am 65 years old and I can remember when the president had the respect of members of both parties. Those presidents were Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower, John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W Bush. Although I did not completely agree with the actions of all of the former presidents, I had respect for the office. I am sad to say that our current president has fallen short in gaining my respect. I do not support his ideas, motives or his attempts to control our daily lives and the future of my children or grandchildren.
