Martha Magdalene Copeland
COOPER – Martha Magdalene Copeland, 81, of Cooper died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, in Sulphur Springs.
Graveside services are set for 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, in the Chant Cemetery in Y City, Ark. Burial follows under the direction of the Delta Funeral Home.
No visitation is scheduled.
She was born in Chant, Ark., Aug. 3, 1928, the daughter of Robert and Mary (Inks) Byford. She married Dennis Copeland, who preceded her in death in 1978. She was a homemaker and had lived in Cooper since 1983.
She was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Robert, Dean, Theo and Leroy.
Survivors include four sons, Larry West of Coldspring, Ricky Copeland and Mike Copeland, both of Cooper, and Jimmy Copeland of Pacio; three brothers, Bill Byford of Chicago, Ill., Arnold Ray Byford and Doug Byford, both of Waldron, Ark.; two sisters, Levena Halligan of Norfolk, Va., and Armel Mae Davis of Mena, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
