Reba Bell
CLARKSVILLE — Reba Bell, 81, of Clarksville, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at her daughter’s home in Tyler following a brief illness.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22 at Westside Church of Christ in Clarksville. Interment is to be in Bogata Cemetery under direction of Wood Funeral Home of Bogata.
The family is to receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21 at the funeral home.
She was born May 5, 1928, in Red River County, the daughter of Jess and Maggie Mae Riggs Alsobrook. She married Lawrence Bell on April 14, 1946, in Deport. He preceded her in death March 20, 2006. She retired from Red River General Hospital where she worked as an admissions clerk for many years. She was also a longtime member of Westside Church of Christ in Clarksville and had served as the secretary for many years.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Gaylon Bell, in March 1951.
She is survived by her children, Regina Whitley and husband, Denny, of Tyler, Tesa Riddle and husband, Russ, of Murphy, Regan Bell and wife, RueAnna, of Fulbright, and Terry Bell and wife, Beth, of Paris; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Pansy Vaughan and husband, Harley, of Richardson; special cousin, Mary Ann Williams of Bogata; special friend, Ruby Bagwell of Clarksville; and nieces and nephews.
