John Charles ‘Crazy Charlie’ Filkins
John Charles “Crazy Charlie” Filkins, 46, of Reno died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Pathway Church of God with the Rev. Gary Redd officiating. Interment follows at Highland Cemetery in Deport.
The family receives friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Filkins; and a brother, Sam Filkins.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Filkins; children, Wenston Filkins, Jesse Ellis, Jeremy Ellis, Brandon Ellis, Brandy Moler and Jeri Ann Sanders; grandchildren, Bailey and Ethan Ellis, Dakota Ellis, Kaycie Ellis, Shea and Aiden Sanders, Kylie and Brylie Stevens; mother, Janet Filkins; brothers, Jessie Filkins, Earl Filkins, Earnie Filkins, Rodney Filkins; and sister, Sissy Smith.
Pallbearers will be Brian Bond, Mike Flippen, Rusty Holland, Earl Filkins, Jessie Filkins, Rodney Filkins, Earnie Filkins and Cody Foster.
