The Paris Wildcats are preparing to celebrate 68-years of memories as the team plays its final game in Noyes Stadium on the Paris Junior College Campus against Bonham on Oct. 30.
“Plans are in the works to bid a fond farewell to the facility,” said Jeanne Kraft, PISD communications director. “After the game we are asking all fans attending the game to remain for the post-game ceremony to commemorate Paris High School’s stay in this historic stadium.”
The 2010 football season is expected to be played in the new Paris High School atheletic stadium off S.W. Loop 286.
During Friday night’s game, favorite memories about the stadium will be shared. Fans are asked to call in memories (15 seconds or less) to either radio station KOYN (903-784-4494) or MIX 1077 (903-784-1077) or post memories online at www.noyesmemories.com
Memories voted in the Top 20 will be hared through-out the game and during post-game ceremonies.
Tickets to the game can be purchased at the Paris ISD administration buiding, 1920 Clarksville St.
A commemorative program is available, which features information about the stadium opened 1941, is available for $7 and can be ordered at the administration office or by mailing a check made out to PISD Noyes Night Program along with address information. Programs also will be available at the game.
