William John Potter

William John Potter, 78, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, in Shreveport, La.

Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home is to conduct graveside services at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Annona Cemetery.

He was born Jan. 17, 1931, in Washington, D.C., a son of William E. and Johnnie Lera Wolf Potter. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict as an aircraft mechanic and continued that work the rest of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sons, Fred Potter and James Dean Potter.

He is survived by a granddaughter, Mary Grace Potter of Haughton, La.; and cousins, Thelya M. Bone of Campbell and John Clark Wolf of Atlanta, Ga.
