Holleman-Spann
Amy Kay Holleman and Rick Spann, Jr. both of Paris, Texas were married in a double ring ceremony on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at First United Methodist Church in Paris, Texas with Pastor Brad Aldridge officiating, assisted by Jerry Besze.
The bride is the daughter of Johnny and Kay Holleman of Paris.
The groom is the son of Kay Klein and Rick Spann, Sr. of Paris.
The bride wore a white satin A-line gown with lace embroidered cap sleeves, side draping, and beaded metallic embroidery on the bodice and skirt. A chapel length train completed the dress. She had a rhinestone tiara over a white, illusion, elbow length veil that was embellished with crystals along the edges. She kept the tradition of something old, new, borrowed and blue as well as a six pence in her shoe.
The wedding music was provided by Betty Holleman, pianist and Ricky Wright, guitarist. The vocalists were: LaDonna Davis and Clint Holleman. The bride was escorted to the altar and given in marriage by her father, Johnny Holleman. The matron of honor was Jennifer Grissom of Paris and bridesmaids were Shelby Szekely and Morgan Szekely of Marion, Texas. Ring Bearer was Brody Holleman and Flower Girl was Lindsey Holleman all cousins of the bride.
The best man was Marty Spann, brother of the groom of Paris and groomsmen were T.J. Thomas and Matt Flynn. Ushers were Joe Szekely, Steve Holleman and Ryan Holleman.
A reception was held at Fellowship Hall at the church. The rehearsal dinner was held at the home of Kay and Steve Klein. A Mexican Fiesta dinner followed rehearsal at the church. House party members included Lea Ann Aldridge, Jennie Stock, Kim Szekely and Tish Holleman. The bride was honored with several showers and parties prior to the wedding. Christ Community Church ladies LeaAnn Aldridge, Rae Dockery, Melissa Ragsdale, Kristin Carmack, Mandy Helberg, Kim Wright, and Jeri Golden hosted a miscellaneous shower at the Dockery home. A come and go misc shower was given by JoAnn Boots, Harlene Mercy and Sandy Long at the Boots home. Co-workers of the bride, Gayla Jeffery, Karen Ballard, and Linda Vandiver hosted an old fashioned pounding for the couple at Paris Junior College. Lisa Spann hosted a personal shower at her home. Jill Pierce of The Woodlands and Wanda Whitaker of McKinney honored the bride and attendants with a Bridal Brunch the day of the wedding.
Following a wedding trip to Eureka Springs, Arkansas the couple will reside in Paris.
