Garcia-Fisher
The blessing of the marriage of Jamie Nicole (Garcia) Fisher and Scott Raymond Fisher was celebrated August 8, 2009 at 2:00 in the afternoon at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church of Waco with a Mass and Rite of Marriage officiated by the Reverend Hilario Guajardo and convalidating their civil marriage of February 29, 2008. A reception and dance followed the ceremony at The Palladium.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Doel G. Garcia of Morgan, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Schutz of Morgan, TX and Mrs. Shirley Garcia of Paris, TX and the late Jose Santiago Garcia of Arlington, TX.
Jamie is a 2006 graduate of China Spring High School and following graduation served in the U.S. Air Force and was employed in the U.S. Postal Service.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Raymond Fisher of Midlothian, TX. He is the grandson of Helen Fisher and the late Arthur Fisher of Ballinger, TX and the late J.D. and Vera Mae Cooley of Hawley, TX. Scott is a 1998 graduate of Ballinger High School. Having served in the U.S. Army from 1998-2005, he is currently employed as a Field Service Representative with E.S.P., Inc. in Killeen, TX.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father. For her wedding the bride chose a full A-line gown in duchess satin with ornate beaded embroidery and a full chapel-length train. The gown was completed with an oval fingertip-length veil of ivory scalloped with beading and teardrop accents. She carried a round garden bouquet consisting of cream and pale pink roses and white freesia. Jamie wore her maternal great grandmother’s wedding ring and carried a rosary given to her by her godparents.
The bridesmaids wore light pink European satin tea-length dresses and carried garden clutch bouquets of cream roses with pastel and crystal accents. The maid of honor was Mary Beth Schutz of San Antonio. Bridesmaids were Megan Chatfield of China Spring, Loren (Mormino) Bemben of San Antonio, and Lynsey Cole of China Spring. Audra Fisher, daughter of the groom, was flower girl. Serving in the house party were Jen Figueroa, Chelsea Allen, April Parrott, Amber Odle, and Brooke Moore. Best man was Rogie Ballard, of Saucier, MS. Groomsmen were Donald Fisher, Cody Garcia, and Billy Nail. Ushers were Kevin Allen and David Tibbets. Cameron Fisher, son of the groom, served as ring bearer. Many family and friends served within various ministries within the Mass. Allison Terry, Mark Crenwelge, Cody Garcia, Zachary Ridgway, Anna Julian, and Melinda Crenwelge served in providing vocal and musical accompaniment. The couple resides in Killeen, Texas. The couple will honeymoon in Fredericksburg and plan an extended tropical honeymoon next year.
