Andy B. Patterson

CLARKSVILLE – Andy B. Patterson, 88, of Detroit passed away Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the First Baptist Church in Detroit with Rev. Doug Higdon officiating. Burial follows in Detroit Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

He was born Sept. 5, 1921, in Red River County to Jim and Rosine Gay Patterson. He was retired from Ford Motor Company. A former member of the Detroit Volunteer Fire Department, he belonged to the V.F.W., served his county in the U.S. Army during World War II and was an avid hunter, fisherman and camper.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Patterson; his son, Jimmy Wayne Patterson; a daughter, Eula Rosine McIntire; a great-great grandson, Hunter Lee McIntire; and his brother and sister in law, Jim Gay and Eula Faye Patterson.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Palmer and husband, Steve, of Grand Prairie and Bertha Jo Hargan and husband, Ronnie, of Detroit; grandchildren, James Andy McIntire and wife, Pat, Kathy Spillers and husband, Andy, Jennie Bradley and husband, John, Anthony Patterson and wife, Kim, Shane Edmonson and wife, Marisa, Kristy Conner and husband, John, Michael Hargen and wife, Dawn, Crystal Leigh Hargan, Amie and Brittany Palmer and Travis Bryant; great-grandchildren, Wayne Patterson and wife, Savannah, Crystal Vickers and husband, Dwight, Jordan, Ashley and Lauren Patterson, Robin, Ashley, Brittany and Jeremy McIntire, Tiffany Rosine and Damien McIntire; great-great-grandchildren, Tristian, Noah, Madison and Forrest Edmonson, Andrew William Hargan, Zane Palmer, James Alexander McIntire, Talan Tase and Lindsey Kay Patterson; special nephew, Tim Davis and wife Donna; special friends, James and Geraldine Sprools.
