The Tyler Dow Bryant Band performs a free concert from 8 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at The Depot.
The show will be filmed for inclusion in a documentary that also features guitar greats Jeff Beck, Carlos Santana, Jonny Lang, ZZ Top, Hubert Sumlin, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and others.
World renowned rock photographer Robert Knight will be on hand to photograph Bryant and his band while an independent film crew captures audience reaction to the music.
Knight photographed the 2007 Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festival on July 28 near Chicago.
As winner of Ernie Ball’s Play Crossroads Competition, Bryant earned the opportunity to perform at the festival.
Knight caught his act and was impressed enough to contact producer Tim Kaiser of California and suggest Bryant be included in the documentary – called “The Rock Prophecies.”
Kaiser, who produced the hit television series “Seinfeld” and “Will and Grace,” hopes to showcase the genius of guitar artists.
Bryant, who is of Honey Grove, says he’s honored to be included in the documentary and filmed by a photographer who has shot musical elites such as the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix.
“I hope people can make it out to The Depot to share this with me,” he said. “It’s going to be a great night for music!”
