Gene Wolfe

HONEY GROVE – Gene Wolfe, 77, of the Sash community passed away Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham.

Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Honey Grove with Rev. David Holt officiating. Masonic graveside services are to be conducted. Burial is to be at Evergreen Cemetery in Paris.

The family receives friends one hour prior to the service.

He was born Oct. 9, 1932, in Ladonia, and was the son of Albert P. Wolfe and Mattie M. Stalie. He married Reba Jo Hicks April 7, 1956, in Bogata. He served his country in the military and was a member of the Collins Masonic Lodge #356 in Tigertown. He was a welder and retired from Babcock & Wilcox in Paris.

He is survived by his wife, Reba; and sons, Rickey Wolfe and wife, Vickie, Larry Wolfe and wife, Cathy, all of the Sash community, Kenneth Wolfe and wife, Debbie, of the Ubell community; 13-grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers serving will be Ryan Wolfe, Michael Wolfe, Josh Haivala, David Niblett, Sammy Shelton and Cory Green.

Honorary pallbearer is to be T.J. Gilbreath.
