Jimmy Leon Cox

CLARKSVILLE — Jimmy Leon Cox, 54, of Blossom passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at Dubuis Hospital in Paris.

Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4 in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Gossett officiating. Burial is to follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Clarksville Funeral Home.

He was born May 7, 1955, in Clarksville to Leon and Margaret Collvins Cox. He has worked with the Campbell Soup Co. in Paris for the last 26 years and was the processing and procedures manager. He had his masters of education in bacteriology, his bachelor of science degree in microbiology and an associate degree in zoology. He had won numerous awards with Campbell Soup Co., including the Plant Manager Award. He was a paramedic and taught many paramedic classes in the area.

Survivors include his wife, Kitty Robertson Cox of Blossom; his mother and father, Leon and Margaret Cox of Blossom; a son, Jeffrey Cox of Paris; a daughter, Robin Cox of Blossom; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Kyle Burrow, Robbie Collvins, David Brooks, Jim Irwin, Colman Morris, Don Hodgson, Smooth Jackson, Gary Stewart and Keith Burrow.
