Willie Mae Reed

Willie Mae Reed, 88, passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at New Birth Baptist Church with Rev. S. F. Evans officiating. Interment follows in Restlawn Garden Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home.

She was born Aug. 2, 1921, in Fort Towson, Okla., to the parentage of George and Arizona Fulbright Anderson. Early in life, she accepted Jesus Christ at the Victory Temple Church of God In Christ. She attended Fort Towson School. She was the mother of five children. She married Mr. Earl Reed Jan. 6, 1940.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George and Arizona Fulbright Anderson; three children, Mrs. Jo Ann Tarver-Reed, Mr. Robert Rollerson and Mr. Leon Anderson.

Loved ones remaining to cherish her memories are her daughters, Kathryn and husband, Odis, of Paris, and Earlene Gordon of Paris; sister, Mrs. Ola Mae Moore of Paris; sister-in-law, Margaret Reed of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 20 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 60 great great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
