Tommie Ann Reasno Smith

Tommie Ann Reasno Smith, 64, entered eternal rest Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville.

Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church with Pastor Keith Thomas officiating. Interment follows in Restlawn Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home.

She was born Dec. 29, 1944, in Blossom to the parentage of Eugene Tinner and the late Mary Catherine Reasno. She was a 1963 graduate of Gibbons High School. Then she met and married Bobby Smith Jan. 27, 1968. Later in life, she was united in marriage to Tommy Ladell June 19, 1983. She was employed by L3 Communications for 43 years.

She accepted Christ at an early age at Johnson Chapel CME Church in Paris. She later moved to Greenville and upon her relocation, she united with Carter Temple CME Church where she was a faithful servant. She served as church secretary and as a choir member and stewardess. She also held several former capacities such as the choir president and board of education director. Additionally, she served on the Central Texas Annual Hospitality committee and as youth director.

She was preceded in death by her mother; her son, Kenneth Wayne Smith; and aunt, Carrie Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Kenette Smith (Dwan) and A’Lesha “Precious” Smith both of Paris; six grandchildren, Dwanniqua (Kwen) Smith, DaTwan Smith, Christian Dunson, Christopher Dunson, Marquies Jones and Traccy Reed; one god-daughter, Sharon Tarver-Whitaker; father, Eugene Tinner; three sisters, Thedis Ann Walker, Birtie Nell Reasno of Midland and Janite Tinner-Hidgins of Odessa; also a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and a special friend and neighbor, Maxine Denmark.
