Gena Lee Bakewell
Gena Lee Bakewell, 75, of Paris died at 2:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 2009, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at Brackeen Cemetery with Rev. Mike Shupp officiating.
The family receives friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
She was born Sept. 23, 1933, in Cleburne to Emmitt and Roxie Lightsey Lee. She was a nurse aide at L.P. McCuistion Regional Medical Center for over 10 years prior to her retirement. She was affiliated with the Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; six sisters; and one grandson, Nick Young.
She is survived by six children, Kathy Adams of Paris, Johnny Mounce of Dallas, Duane Mounce and wife, Imogene, of Paris, Vickie Garrison and husband, Don, of Blossom, Michelle Lane and husband, David, of Brookston and Danny Mounce of Dallas; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Kenneth Lee of Las Vegas, Nev.; and one sister, Marcell Mounce of Merced, Calif.
