A United Firemans’ Street Dance will be held beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31 in Blossom. The event is scheduled at the intersection of Front and Center Streets between the Blossom Hardware Store and the Blossom Machine Shop.
The dance is sponsored by the Blossom, Deport, East Post Oak, Faught and Reno volunteer fire departments.
There will be an open stage and bands are welcome with karaoke during breaks and band down time. Food will be provided with adult plates $5 each, including brisket, potato salad, beans and tea. Children’s plates will consist of hot dogs and nachos, and children under 6 eat free.
“This event is a public thank you for all the support,” said Heath Thomas of Blossom VFD. “It is only with your support that we as volunteer fire departments can continue to provide service, and we would like to extend a well deserved thank you to all of you,”
The event will include games and activities for children, and trick-or-treat bags will be provided. There will also be a costume contest with prizes for first, second and third place, as determined by a panel of judges.
