Thacker takes first at Paris Motor Speedway

Chad Thacker of Paris took first at Paris Motor Speedway Saturday after starting in 16th place.
Quinlan’s Tim Claunch was second after starting in 11th place, while Powderly’s Marty Hicks started in 10th and finished third.
Eric Layton was fourth followed by Roger Stripland of Paris, Michael Riskey of Commerce and Hunter Burris of Pattonville.
In the Hobby Stock, Windle Claxton of Sulphur Springs came in first, while Kyle Thompson of Detroit started and finished the race in second. Brad Ford of Paris came in third, while Dale Burris of Pattonville came in fourth. Jay Kent was fifth.
In the Sports Modified Class, Mitchell Clement of Bonham finished first, Chad Ross of Sulphur Springs came in second and Michael Darby of Hutchins came in third.
In the Southern Stock, Pickton’s Alan Screws took the checkered flag, followed by Gil Faber of Bells, Tom Caldwell of Paris, Donald Parker of Avery, and John Baker of Beckville
In the Cyclone Class, Alex Daniels of Paris won, and Michael Cannon of Deport was second.
