Doris Gurley
BOGATA — Doris Gurley, 51, of Bogata died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, in Paris Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services are set for 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at Smith Cemetery in Rosalie. Wood Funeral Home of Bogata has charge of the arrangements.
The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
She was born in Childress, Jan. 13, 1958, the daughter of Waldon Edward and Lavern Sewell Gurley. She was employed at Wag-A-Bag in Deport where she was known for her laughter, her wit and her willing to always be the first to help someone in need.
She was preceded in death by her father Nov. 30, 2006; her mother, May 29, 2007; a sister, Terri Lyn Richmond; and three nephews, Shane, Debo and Shawn Gurley.
She is survived by her children, Bobby Greener and wife, Jennifer, of Bogata and Stacy Conder and husband, Drew, of Paris; her grandchildren, Cheyenne, Paden, Addison and Garrett; one sister, Donna Pittman of Emory; five brothers, Waldon Edward Gurley, Jr. of Memphis, Lewis Gurley of Double Springs, Ala., Jimmy Lee Gurley of Denton, Jerry Lee Gurley of Emory and Roger Paul Gurley of Paris.
