Paris Junior College’s Show Choir will present “Encore in the Park” at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, according to Patricia Fowzer, director. This annual event will be held in the peristyle at Bywaters Park in downtown Paris.
The public is invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets and hot chocolate while watching this fast paced thirty-minute production.
The audience can view the thousands of Christmas lights of Winter Wonderland while enjoying Christmas favorites including “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Let It Snow,” “Feliz Navidad,” and “Dig That Crazy Santa Claus,” all performed with exciting choreography. Choreographer for the show is Kristina House Courson, a former Encore member.
Members of Encore and their hometowns include Lynsey Boss, Adam Cawthon, Chad Duval, Alex Fowzer, Justin Frazier, Cody Kelly, Trenton Little, Michaylah Malone, Katie McCormack, Samantha Mitchell, Josh Mooneyham, Evan Moree and Jordon Thielman all of Paris; Yliana Castro and Dani Roberts of Commerce; Clarissa Christensen of El Campo, Alicia Edwards, Hillary Evans and Justin Stangohr of Greenville; Taylor Jackson of Clarksville; Ellen Osborn of Bonham and Dale Shoals of Hugo.
Immediately after this show, individual soloists from Encore will continue the season’s music by presenting Christmas solos on the downtown Plaza. Billed as “Encore at the Fountain,” by the Visitors and Convention Bureau, this 7:30 p.m. show will offer even more favorite Christmas musical numbers.
Both events are free and the public is invited to attend.
