John Russell Covington
BOGATA — John Russell Covington, 50, of Cuthand died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, in East Texas Medical Center of Clarksville.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Saturday, in Cuthand United Methodist Church with Rev. John Purviance officiating. Burial is to be in Lanes Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home of Bogata.
The family receives friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, at the church.
He was born Feb. 5, 1959, in Dover, Del., the son of John Douglas and Sherlene Moore Covington. He married the former Mary Francis Collier Sept. 1, 1995, in Cuthand. He was a rancher and loved the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Francis Covington; one son, John David Covington of Bogata; one daughter, Caressa Covington of
Paris; two stepdaughters, Tami Nix and Alicia Lanxford, both of Tyler; three grandchildren, Landon Davidson, Marleigh Nix and Kora Nix; three brothers, Douglas Eugene Covington of Bogata, Archie Wooley of Fort Worth and Tommy Covington of Mansfield; five sisters, Becky Reid and Susan Whitley, both of Azle, Kim Collins of White Settlement, Janice Vaught of Fort Worth and Melissa Lambert of Colleyville; ad his mother, Sherlene Clary of Fort Worth.
