Bernice Mauldin Beers

BOGATA – Bernice Mauldin Beers, 81, of Bogata died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at Regency Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark.

Graveside services are set for 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, at Cuthand Cemetery with Rev. Billy Daniels officiating. Wood Funeral Homes have charge of arrangements.

She was born in Cuthand June 17, 1928. She was the daughter of William Earnest and Lilly Bond Mauldin. She married James Beers Aug. 27, 1947.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth Beers on Sept. 17, 1999; two brothers, Eugene Mauldin and W.C. Mauldin; six sisters, Irene House, Eona Mauldin, Edna Kiser, Lena Blizzard, Justin Streetman and Vivian Houser.

She is survived by her husband, James Beers of Bogata; two daughters, Shelia Anderson and husband, Willard, of Rodgers, Ark., and Carolyn Larey and husband, Darrel, of Winnona; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
