IDABEL, Okla. — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the Idabel Police Department continue to seek information surrounding the death of a Paris teenager found in a community center bathroom here a week ago.
The body of Sharonda Ann Bronner, 15, was discovered Dec. 7, but her identity was unknown until released two days later by OSBI.
“The OSBI is up here until 10 or 12 at night interviewing people,” said Harold Davis, Idabel assistant police chief. “We have gotten all kinds of leads but have made no arrests at this time.”
The victim had been a prior student in the Paris Independent School District, but had withdrawn from the district several months ago.
Numerous students knew her and grief counselors have been available at Travis Junior High and other campuses, according to Jeanne Kraft, PISD public information officer.
The OSBI Web site said OSBI is not releasing how Bronner died at this time. Instead, investigators need that piece of information to help identify possible suspects.
The Web site encourages anyone with information about the crime to contact either the Idabel Police Department at 580-286-6554 or the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.
