Raymond Doyle Thompson

Raymond Doyle Thompson, 77, of Reno, former longtime resident of Lubbock, passed away Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10 at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Woodrow with Rev. Ollie Lee officiating.

The son of Carl Adolphus and Minnie Stone Thompson, he was born Oct. 1, 1932, in Shawnee, Okla.

He worked in construction and in the oil fields where he was a “get it done man.”

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and three grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Kevin Thompson of Reno, David Thompson and wife, Deborah, of Paris and Michael Thompson and wife, Deona, of Big Lake; brother, W. C. “Tommy” Thompson of Kennesaw, Ga.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
