Ella Mae Anderson

CLARKSVILLE — Ella Mae Anderson, 92, of Clarksville passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at Clarksville Nursing Center.

Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25 in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Johnathan Simon officiating. Burial is to follow in New Haven Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family is to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was born Nov. 3, 1917, in Haworth, Okla., to Alf and Vandella Seay Long. She moved to the Dimple community in 1925 and was a member of New Haven Baptist Church. She was an avid hunter and fisherman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Jim Wilson Tyler; her second husband, William “Dub” Anderson; a son, David Wayne Tyler; a daughter, Dorothy Sorrels Scott; and five brothers.

Survivors include a son, Weldon Tyler and daughter, Doris Foreman, both of Clarksville; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
