The Greater Paris Rotary Club awarded David House with the Rotarian of the Month award for September.
“David House exemplified ‘service above self’ in his coordination and leadership of our sole annual fundraiser of our Football Frenzy books,” said Stephen Gerrald, public information officer for the club. “David was very humble in his acceptance of the award, thanking everyone in the club for working so hard and making his work worthwhile in getting the books to the community.”
Proceeds from the Football Frenzy books help fund the various projects the Greater Paris Rotary Club is involved in, such as the Healthy Smiles Dental Program for second graders in Lamar County, partnering with international communities and assisting with educational needs in third world areas, helping in the eradication of the police virus and assisting with the needs of various groups and individuals in the Paris community.
“David House has been a longtime member of the Greater Paris Rotary Club and helped raise quite a bit of money through his position as Football Frenzy coordinator and previous sergeant at arms,” Gerrald said.
