Nell Dunmon Saffell

Nell Dunmon Saffell, 84, of Paris passed away Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Eddy Johnson officiating. Burial follows in Long Cemetery.

The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

She was the daughter of Bill and Willie Mae Clark Dunmon, born Aug. 6, 1925, in Powderly. She married W. R. Saffell May 9, 1948, at the Roxton Methodist Church, building 61 years of family and memories. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paris and had been a volunteer with the auxiliary at Paris Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; Foy Jordan and Martha Dowdy; a niece, Nell Marie Ashford; and two nephews, Phillip and Keith Jordan.

Survivors include her husband, W. R.; three children, Michaelan Cravy and husband, Bob, of McKinney, Brenda McNeal and husband, Charles, of Paris and Shane Saffell and wife, Dvonnie, of Paris; six grandchildren, Jade and Sarah Cravy, Crystal and Scott Burgess, Zac and Melissa Blount, Tim and Brandyn McNeal, and Shana and Justin Meusel; 10 great-grandchildren, Jeremy, James, and Jeffrey Cravy, Allie Blount, Megan and Brittany McNeal, Ryan Box, Lauren Meusel, and Mason and Rider Burgess; one brother, B.C. Dunmon of Leonard; along with four nephews, Lance and Clark Dunmon of Leonard and Steve and Shawn Jordan of Powderly.
