Bertha Mae Moree
Bertha Mae Moree, 95, of Paris passed away Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, at her home.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville with Cody Moree officiating.
The family receives friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
She was the daughter of James Edward and Ada Carson Trim, born Oct. 4, 1913, in Annona. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and had worked as an LVN. She was a seamstress and did alterations for Royal Cleaners and Unique Cleaners. She loved to cook, can foods and bake cakes, which she would give away to anyone that would come along. She married James Morgan Moree Jan. 13, 1936, and he preceded her in death in 1971. She then married Santee Turner in 1978. He preceded her in death in 1987.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; four sons, Larry Moree, Donald Moree, Robert Moree and Billy Ray Moree; two grandchildren, James Earl Moree and Lisa Gay Moree; a great-grandson, Hunter Norwood; all her brothers and one sister; and several nieces and nephews.
Survivors include a son, Bobby Moree of Paris; a daughter, Barbara Kenney of Paris; two daughters-in-law, Wanda Moree of Paris and LaNell Hill of Huntington; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
