Donia Frances Foster

CLARKSVILLE — Donia Frances Foster, 87, a five-year resident of Regency Health and Rehab Center and formerly of Annona, passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, at East Texas Medical Center in Clarksville.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18 in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Simons and Rev. James Hinkle officiating. Burial is to follow in New Shamrock Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends an hour before service time at the funeral home.

She was born Nov. 25, 1921, in Slidell in Wise County to Sam Houston and Retta Mae Morgan Bairrett. She loved crocheting, knitting and being with family and friends. She was a member of the New Haven Missionary Baptist Church.

Her husband, Robert Homer Foster, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a stepson, Robert Brady Foster of Georgetown; a daughter, Joy Martin and husband, Mike, of Annona; granddaughter, Amanda Childres and husband, Darrin, of Annona; grandson, Paul Martin and wife, Stefanie, of Paris; and one great-granddaughter, Isabella Childres.

Memorials may be made in her name to the New Haven Missionary Baptist Church: 1390 FM 2120 Clarksville, Texas 75426.
