PJC announces graduation

Published May 5, 2009

More than 500 candidates have applied for graduation at Paris Junior College. That means the college is expecting a record-breaking graduation ceremony, according to Rita Tapp, registrar.

Commencement exercises begin at 8 p.m. Friday, May 8, in Noyes Stadium on the PJC campus. In case of severe weather, ceremonies will move to the Hunt Physical Education Center. An announcement of any necessary site relocation will be made on radio stations in the area by noon on that day.  Notice will also be posted on the PJC Web site at www.parisjc.edu.

During the ceremonies a graduate will be awarded the Distinguished Service Award.  The 2009 Master Teacher also will be be recognized.

At the conclusion of the ceremonies, a reception for all graduates, their family and friends will be held on the tennis courts adjacent to Noyes Stadium.
