Rodolfo Cisneros ‘Rudy’ Marks

BONHAM – Rodolfo Cisneros “Rudy” Marks passed away Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham.

A funeral mass is to be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Paris under the direction of Wise Funeral Home with Father Wilson Blas officiating. A private family burial is to follow. 

A wake is to be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Paris.

  He was born Jan. 31, 1942, in Brownsville, the son of Jose Angel Marks and Olivia Cisneros Marks. He owned and operated his own custom upholstery shops in the Rio Grande Valley area and the Dallas Metroplex for many years. He married Martha Ann Smiga, Sept. 14, 1979, at Saint Matthews Catholic Church in Arlington. He was a member of Saint Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Bonham and the Knights of Columbus. For the past 15 years, he has done lay ministry with the Disciples of Jesus and Mary. 

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother, Olivia Marks of Houston; wife, Martha Marks of Honey Grove; sons, Rudy Marks, Jr. of Brownsville, Kevin Gidcumb of Fort Worth and Matthew Gidcumb of Honey Grove; daughters, Yvonne Marks and Cynthea Dubea, both of Harlingen, Lisa Salazar of Bonham, Kim Tinnon of Valrico, Fla., and Sister Elisabeth Marks of Kansas City, Mo.; brothers, Jose Angel Marks Jr. “Joe” of LaGuna Vista, John A. Marks of Dallas and Alex Marks of Alberta, Canada; sisters, Martha Brooks of Dallas and Grace Fernandez of Houston; 18 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
