Work continues on a remodel of Paris Farm & Ranch Center, which topped commercial building permits issued by the City of Paris in May. The city issued a $75,000 permit for internal refurbishment of the 30-year-old facility at 1710 N.E. Loop 286.
The remodel is one of 32 building permits for a total of $444,565 issued in May.
An expanded sales staff and the need for more efficiency in the workshop is the driving force behind the Farm & Ranch Center project expected to be completed in July, said co-owner Shane Phifer. He and Mark Buster purchased the Case IH and Kubota dealership nine years ago.
“We are adding on new offices, enlarging our showroom and doing a total face lift,” Phifer said. Commercial repair permits totaled $129,500, including the farm equipment dealership and five other commercial repair projects. Fifteen residential repair projects totaled $145,065. The city issued a $170,000 permit to Glenn Edzards for a new residence at 3310 Summerhill. Permits also were issued for six signs, two demolition projects and two fences.
