Cruise on down to the Plaza and take a stroll down memory lane.
Vintage and classic automobiles are to line the streets between 5 and 8 p.m. tonight. The event is free and anyone is invited to drop by during the show.
“Cruisin’ Nights on the Plaza will be Friday and the first Friday in December as part of Holiday in Paris,” said Wyatt Bowden, who is spearheading tonight’s come-and-go event.
Music, provided by Bowden, adds to the atmosphere as people make their way around the block, taking in the classic and not-so-classic vehicles.
Owners of older cars and trucks make their way downtown to hang out, reminisce and brag a while. The evening is notable with an ever-changing lineup as classic vehicle owners occasionally take their cars for a short spin.
November will be the sixth month this event has taken place.
“This has been a wonderful, well-attended event,” Bowden said. The Cruise is planned for this month and December, then will be put in storage through the winter. Come next spring, plans are for Cruisin’ Nights on the Plaza to return in full force.
