Lady Dragons down Hill College, 58-49

The Lady Dragons improved to 6-3 Friday night with a 58-49 victory over Hill College.
LeKrisha Pennon scored 12 points and Taylor Ammons 10 for PJC. Victoria Felix led Hill College’s Lady Rebels with 16 points.
PJC led 27-23 at the half and pulled away in the second half, building up a 41-24 lead before Hill College scored its first field goal after intermission.
Play was stopped for about 10 minutes after a Hill College player, 5-foot-7 Jasmine White, fell hard to the floor. She finally was helped to her feet and walked slowly to a seat on the sidelines.
The next home game for either men’s or women’s teams of Paris Junior College is Wednesday, when Region XIV play resumes with a visit from Trinity Valley. The women’s game starts at 5:30 p.m. and the men’s game at 7:30 p.m.
The Trinity Valley men were a perfect 6-0 before dropping a double-overtime game at home to Tyler Junior College last Saturday, 84-82.
The Trinity Valley women are 6-3 for the season and won their only conference game, 88-49, over Lon Morris on Tuesday.
