Dorothy Louise Sugg

Dorothy Louise Sugg, 76, known as “Nanny” to all those who loved her, passed away Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009.

Services are set for 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Bro. Jonathan Back officiating. Burial follows in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family receives friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

She was the daughter of Clayton and Vonnie Rolan Tucker, born March 24, 1933, in Idabel, Okla. She married Argel Sugg, and he later preceded her in death. She later married Walter Jones who also preceded her in death. She was an avid bingo player and had run concession stands at Gene’s Flea Market and Big B Auction.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Agnes Overby; and two brothers, Randall Tucker and Eldridge Tucker.

Survivors include her children, Liz Christian and husband, Gary, of Paris, Ronny Sugg of Grand Prairie, Ricky Sugg and wife, Jeri, of Paris, Vaughn Sugg and wife, Kim, of Paris and Steven Shumaker and wife, Kenda, of Paris; 13 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; and a host of friends.
