Rickey Dale Reaves
Rickey Dale Reaves, 53, of Reno was received into the arms of his Savior Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4 at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with burial following in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family is to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family will be at their home in Reno at other times.
The son of Billy Dean and Patsy Brooks Reaves, he was born Aug. 18, 1956, in Lamar County. For the past 33 years he had been a dedicated employee of Paris Packaging. To his grandchildren he was their beloved PawPaw; they were the light of his life and his biggest hobby. He was an avid artist who enjoyed painting and drawing. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Dean Reaves; his mother, Patsy Bradley; his stepfather, Clifford Bradley; and his father-in-law, Bennie Thompson.
Survivors include his wife and life companion, Barbara Thompson Reaves, whom he married on July 19, 1974; two sons, Richie Reaves and wife, Jaime, of Paris and Darrick Reaves and wife, Heather, of Reno; his mother-in-law, Betty Thompson of Paris; grandchildren, Kynzie Reaves, Kameron Reaves, Riley Reaves, Emery Reaves, Peyton Reaves, Landrey Legg and Whitney Legg; two brothers, Larry Reaves and wife, Becky, of Powderly and Danny Reaves and wife, Leta, of Reno; along with numerous nieces, nephews, a host of friends and his beloved dog, Precious.
The family would like to express appreciation to Dr. Morris Tobin and the staff of the ICU at Paris Regional Medical Center for the care given their loved one.
