Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Van Deaver
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Van Deaver Celebrate 50th Anniversary.
Helen F. Cheatham and Gordon VanDeaver were united in marriage on September 26, 1959 at First Presbyterian Church in Deport, Texas by Reverend Joe Everhart.
The couple are blessed with two children, Charlotte F. Velasco and husband Tony of Austin, Texas and James G. VanDeaver and wife Vivi of Paris, Texas. They have one grandchild, Alita Velasco of Austin.
Gordon retired from a forty-four year USDA Food Inspection Service career in 2006. The couple are members of the genealogy society of Red River County and members of First Presbyterian Church in Deport, Texas. Helen is a fifty-year member of the Deport Chapter of Eastern Star.
Family and friends joined in celebration with a reception held at Legion Healthcare located at 520 8th Street SE, Paris, Texas, where Helen is presently a patient. They enjoy visiting family and friends.
