Mary Linda Childers Cooper
Mary Linda Childers Cooper, 68, of Reno passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at her home in Reno. She is now in the arms of her loving savior Jesus Christ after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Friday July 30, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Randall Perry and Rev. Kyle Peters officiating. Interment follows in Restland Cemetery in Roxton.
The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 29, at the funeral home chapel.
She was born Aug. 22, 1941, in Roxton and graduated from Roxton High School with the class of 1959. She married Walter Cooper Sept. 12, 1958, in Howland. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend whose memory will be cherished. She was a member of First Baptist Church Paris and active in her Sunday School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Evelyn Clark Childers.
She is survived by her husband and best friend of 51 years, Walter L. Cooper; four children, Christina Cooper of Austin, Diana Cooper of Dallas, Keith Cooper of Brock, Nina Stork and husband, Herman, of Lavon; six precious grandchildren whom she adored, Chad Cooper, Jennifer Cooper, Brandon Stork, Taylor Stork, Marshall Cooper and Hope Cooper.
Much appreciation is extended to all the doctors and nurses at the Paris Regional Cancer Center and Dr. Celeste Wilcox, for all their care over the past year, and to Legacy Hospice and Dr. Bill and Becky Surber.
Serving as pallbearers are Gary Ballard, Allen Branch, Mike Boswell, Lewis Sheridan, Dr. Bill Surber and Wayne Tomblin.
Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Brackeen, Les Stidham, Bill Arnold, Gerald Whitesides and Carl Pierce.
