Armstrong-Reed

Meagan Lynne Armstrong and Colby Taylor Reed were united in marriage on June 27, 2009 at two o’clock in the afternoon by Terry Paul Cunningham at Westside Baptist Church in Honey Grove, Texas.

The bride is the daughter of David and Selena Armstrong of Honey Grove. She is the granddaughter of Jerry and Barbara Piland of Petty, Texas, and Bob and Janice Armstrong of Honey Grove.

The groom is the son of Tony and Cindy Reed of Powderly, Texas. He is the grandson of Doris Taylor and the late Bill Taylor of Powderly, and James and Shirley Reed of Paris.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the alter by her father.

She wore a Morilee elegant style wedding gown made with supreme satin. The bodice was adorned with swarovski crystals and beading surrounding the neckline and sleeves. The waist was emphasized by a band of beautiful swarovski crystals and beading, that was also repeated on the band surrounding the princess line skirt and chapel length train. The low cut back opened up with the swarovski crystals and beading on thin straps that were pulled together with satin covered buttons which then fell into the same crystals and bead work going down the back of the dress into the train. She wore a beautiful tiara in her hair and carried a bouquet of pink and white roses.

The bridesmaids wore spaghetti strap fuchsia satin dresses accented with a black satin sash and rhinestone pin. The maid of honor wore a black v-neck dress with a satin fuchsia sash and pin.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Heather Piland, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Ashley Rodgers and Heather McEntyre, cousin of the groom.

Serving as best man was Garrett Reed, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Billy Cook and Luke Armstrong, brother of the bride. The ushers were Cade Armstrong, brother of the bride and Jerry Piland, Jr., uncle of the bride.

A reception was held following the ceremony in the church annex. Members of the house party were Monica Rhodes, Raegan Daugherty and Bonnie Armstrong, aunt of the bride.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Chisum High School and is employed as dental assistant at Dr. Regina Easlon’s Office in Paris. The groom is a franchisee of Colors on Parade . The couple will reside in Powderly.
