David Lee Townes
BOGATA — David Lee Townes Sr., 69, of Bogata died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at East Texas Medical Center in Clarksville.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19 in First Assembly of God Church in Bogata. Burial is to be in Bogata Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
The family is to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18 at the funeral home.
He was born May 18, 1930, in Fulbright, the son of George Thomas and Dessie Ann Humphries Townes. He was a retired floor coverer and served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his children, David Townes Jr. of Bogata, Janice Wilson of Dallas and Tesa Rosson of Bogata; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
