Paul Glynn Lowe
SULPHUR SPRINGS — Paul Glynn Lowe, 42, of Sulphur Springs passed away Friday, April 19, 2008, at his residence.
Funeral services were set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, at League Street Church of Christ with Keith Kilmer and Patrick Cannon officiating. A graveside service was to follow at 3 p.m. in Land of Memory in Palestine. Arrangements were under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
He was born Sept. 22, 1965, in Paris, the son of C. Glynn and Frances Yancey Lowe. He held a Bachelor of Science degree in plant and animal science/agriculture business from East Texas State University (A&M Commerce) in 1992. During his years in New Boston, he was the owner of Lowe Landscape Company, since 1983. He held the position of vice president/branch manager of Savings and Loan in Mount Pleasant and Texarkana. He was a member of the advisory committee for Titus County Industrial Board, planner of Bowie County Enterprises Zones; a member of the New Boston Industrial Developments Committee. He was a member of the local redevelopment authority research team; and was a speaker at the hearing regarding Red River Army Depot closure. He held classes at Paris Junior College and Northeast Texas Community College in landscape design. He was a director of New Boston Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Bowie County Industrial Corporation and the Texarkana Home Builders’ Association and a board member of Camp Deer Run Christian Camp. He had been the vice president of New Boston Kiwanis Club. He was a member of League Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include his parents; brother, Mark Lowe, and wife, Robyn, of Frisco; sister, Sharon Hammond, and husband, David, of Tyler; nieces, Laura, Lindsay and Elizabeth Lowe of Frisco and Sydney and Bailey Hammond of Tyler.
Pallbearers were Andy Owens, Joey Coker, David Rolf, Jason Darrow, Steve Wade, Junior Cox and Hardy Brunette.
A special memorial is being planned in memory of Paul Glynn Lowe. Contributions may be made to Camp Deer Run Christian Camp 1227 CR 4590, Winnsboro, TX. 75494-4967.
