Darrel D. Wages
CLARKSVILLE – Darrel D. Wages, 78, of Dallas, formerly of Avery, passed away Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009, at the V.A. Hospital in Dallas.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at Avery Cemetery with Rev. Rick Gandy officiating. Internment follows under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
He was born Oct. 1, 1931, in Avery to Airris and Leola Lewis Wages. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Avella Harrison Wages.
Survivors include two sons, Ernest Wages and wife, Gwen, of Mesquite and Terry Wages and wife, Peggy, of Terrell; a brother, Don Wages of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
