Pursifull-Fore

Amanda Kay Pursifull and Justin Clay Fore were married in a family ceremony at sunset on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the home of James and Terry Davis on Odd Fellows Lake in Paris, Texas. The marriage was officiated by Duane Hamil of The Cowboy Church in Paris, Texas.

The bride is the daughter of Leah and Tim Pursifull of Arthur City, Texas. The groom is the son of Elaine and Fred Fore of Honey Grove, Texas. Grandparents of the bride are Dr. and Mrs. James Brunette and Mrs. W.C. Pursifull, all of Paris, TX and the late W.C. Pursifull. Grandparents of the groom are Herbert Fore and the late Audrie Fore of Rosston, AR and the late Preston and Ruth Echols of Enloe, TX.

The marriage was celebrated in the multi-level garden of the Davis home, decorated in the bride’s chosen colors of red and orange. Luminaries and flowers lined the entrance to the wedding area, with red and orange rose petals paving the way to the alter. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. For her wedding, the bride wore an ivory strapless Bari Jay gown accented with a long black sash at the waist.

The maid of honor was Abby Pursifull of Arthur City, Texas, sister of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Sydney Brunette of Tyler, Texas, cousin of the bride, and Emmi Severson of Paris, Texas, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. The maid of honor wore a knee-length version of the bride’s dress in black accented by a red sash at the waist. The junior bridesmaid and flower girl wore ivory dresses accented with red.

The best man was Brad Baxter of Honey Grove, Texas. Junior groomsman was Grant Pursifull of McKinney, Texas, cousin of the bride, and the ring bearer was Beau Bowie of Sachse, Texas, nephew of the groom.

Prior to the wedding, the family gathered for light hors d’ouevres and drinks on the veranda above the wedding site. In the setting along the lake following the ceremony, guests were served a meal of Surf and Turf prepared by Sherry and Bret Holbert of 24th Street Café. The evening celebration concluded with a spectacular fireworks display over the lake.

On Friday evening following the rehearsal, Elaine and Fred Fore hosted an outdoor BBQ at their home in Honey Grove, Texas as a celebration for family and close friends

Several pre-wedding parties were held to honor the bride. Debbie Bowie and the ladies of the Honey Grove Cowboy Church hosted a miscellaneous shower. Mary Snell of Honey Grove invited guests to her home to share favorite family recipes with the bride. Sandra Bramhall, Dee Dee Flautt, Delesha Jeffery, Anita Moody, Angela Phifer, Claudia Pursifull and Cathy Reed entertained the bride and her friends at the Reed home.

Amanda and Justin would like to thank Terry Davis, special friend of the family, for helping make their day so special.
