Julia Fay Harmon
CLARKSVILLE – Julia Fay Harmon, 84, of Boxelder passed away Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, at her residence.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Dickey, Rev. Ronnie Ross and Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial follows in Boxelder cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
The family receives friends one hour before the service.
She was born Aug. 21, 1925, to Austin and Viola Fogleman Gaddis. She married Herbert Harmon in Annona Jan. 18, 1948, and had celebrated 61 years of marriage. She retired from Thiokol Chemical and was a member of the Salem Baptist Church. She loved gospel music and enjoyed singing at church.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Judy Weber and husband, Richard, of Texarkana and Tena Hill and husband, Lon, of Collierville, Tenn.; and one sister, Dorothy Shimpock of Annona; seven grandchildren, Allison Coleman, Carolyn Hill Walker, Mark Coleman, Stephen Hill, Paul Hill, Laura Hill and Lyndi Green; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Tim Shimpock, Bruce Shimpock, Mark Coleman, Stephen Hill, Paul Hill and Richard Weber.
