CLARKSVILLE — In a Tuesday evening ballgame that had been moved from Sam Rayburn High School to Clarksville High, a furious rally from the Clarksville Lady Tigers fell short in the fourth quarter as the Lady Rebels defeated the Lady Tigers 43-39 to improve to an 11-5 season record.
The Chisum Lady Mustangs were in a battle at home against their district foe Commerce on Tuesday night. The Lady Mustangs held a slim lead through most of the game, but couldn’t put Commerce away until the end when Chisum recorded the 46-42 home win.
The Chisum Mustangs basketball team played in its second district game of the season, this time at home against Commerce.

COOPER — The Chisum Mustangs opened district play on the hardwood with an impressive win at Cooper. The Mustangs won its first district game over the Bulldogs by a final score of 79-47.
On Monday night the North Lamar Pantherettes finished their pre-district schedule against Como Pickton and they couldn’t have picked a better way to end it. North Lamar scored in double digits in every quarter while holding the visitors in single digits for all four frames in a 59–24 victory.
